A key strategy of Council is the plans for a dramatically revitalised CBD turning it into a vibrant, energetic place with a distinctly Hamilton flavour that celebrates the CBD as the retail, visitor, entertainment and civic heart of the city and region. The goal is to see it transformed into people friendly areas that are easy to get around for pedestrians as well as for cars and other vehicles, good for business and reflecting local character.
